Its chips are best for a healthy fryer – the best we’ve seen. And it’s let down due to small capacity and a large price tag.The air outlet is given in the back, and that can not be blocked. There is also a cord storage present at the bottom. On the fryer, there are timer and temperatures for various types of food. There is also a temperature dial control, and there is a timer too.
How Does the Philips Viva Collection Airfryer work?
The design of the Viva Airfryer is amazingly compact on the worktop; it can be said that it is tall and thin rather than wide. The top section of this air fryer is a heating element and fan, while the bottom section is a drawer which pulls out to bring the cooking basket. As a result of which, there’s no need of keeping an eye on the cooking procedure. And the bottom of the basket is a metal mesh since air passes straight through it and to hit the bottom of the drawer, which is made to circulate air.
Controls are really very simple: there is a dial at the top that enables you to set the temperature while on the other hand, the timer knob above the handle controls cooking. Also on the back, there’s a different cord storage which is handy, although it produces noise.

So what’s cool about the Philips Airfryer besides using less oil?. The cooking basket is easy to slide, and the unit has a smart big dial timer and temperature control. It has a plastic exterior which is easy to clean, and a non-stick pan coating which justifies the name. On the minus side, this process takes longer as compared to deep frying, and the Philips Airfryer won’t win any awards when it comes to energy efficiency.
To be honest, the negatives tend to pile up once you start healthier eating. It does have a pan separator which enables you to cook many items at once, you’ll need to cook in batches if you want to feed a sizeable family or cater for your house party.
